Perhaps you could write about a mad scientist who invents a robot that does the opposite of what he says. One time he asks the robot to try out mixing chemicals for a solution for new life he'd been working on and things get out of hand, before you know it with in a couple of minutes there are masses of clones of the scientist, and a mass of clones of the robot running about. So mad that they have to get professional people to help sort this out. Is it more mad scientists? More robots? Or have the government had to get involved and set a naval reserve to sort things out? You decide.
